Catch-up Time!

Despite numerous reminders that I haven’t blogged in a while, I’ve still managed to leave it over a month now since my last post. Not bad, eh? Of course, it would be more impressive if I managed to post more than once a month, but for some reason whenever I think of something to blog about I’m not at the computer.

Well, there’s been plenty happening in the last month getting ready for the new arrival. It’s a bit scary to think that it could happen any day now! Of course, it might not happen for another 4-5 weeks. Either way, I suppose we’re as ready as we’ll ever be!

We finished the ante-natal classes yesterday with a tour around the labour ward at the hospital. I found the classes to be really informative (did I say that in my last post?), and the tour was good to go on seeing as neither of us had been to that part of the hospital before. Of course, we’ve both seen the emergency room but that’s another story.

We’ve been trying to do some stuff to ‘baby-up’ the nursery, while trying to stick with our Pixar theme. So far we have some Buzz lightyear stuff, but we found some wall hangings on Ebay from Toy Story and Monsters, Inc. The Toy Story stuff looks pretty cute, but we’re a bit worried that the Monsters hangings are a bit on the scary side. So… we might leave those for the time being. Not sure what else we’ll put up there yet. Jules’ Dad is going to help us get a shelf up to put all of her Harrod’s bears on, which will help look a bit more nursery-ish.

So… we’re pretty much focussing on making sure everything is ready for whenever the baby decides to arrive. This means keeping Jules as comfortable as possible (she’s started to get a bit uncomfortable in the last week or so), and doing a few odd jobs around the house.

Jules is having her baby shower tomorrow, so I’m going to watch a few vids in the lounge with a few of the guys who are accompanying their wives/finacees/better halves to the festivities.

Not sure what else there is to report at this stage. I’m sure I’ve missed plenty, but will try and keep a bit more up to date, at least for the next couple of weeks. After the baby gets here I may not have too much time for blogging.

TTFN,

I’ll have to put a pic of Jules up here, too. She’s looking much more pregnant now! It’s about time!
